Dear Pleasantville Community,

The week is off to an exciting start across our schools, and it feels like the perfect moment to highlight the role that science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) play in our students’ experiences.

This past weekend, the Pleasantville Middle School Science Olympiad team earned 2nd place at Regionals, qualifying for the New York State competition alongside the Pleasantville High School team. At the same time, the PHS musical Guys & Dolls opened to standing ovations, showcasing the creativity, collaboration, and dedication of our student performers, musicians, production crew, and community volunteers.

Moments like these reflect the many ways our students engage in STEAM learning across the District.
As we continue conversations about the Pleasantville Forward, Together capital project, we are pleased to share a short video highlighting the proposed STEAM elements of the plan and how these spaces could support hands-on learning, creativity, and interdisciplinary experiences for students at all grade levels.

We also invite community members to learn more and ask questions at our upcoming STEAM Capital Forum:
